"Slow down and enjoy life. It's not only the scenery you miss by going to fast-you also miss the sense of where you are going and why."
--Eddie Cantor
From the first few drops of a gentle sprinkling, to a wind-lashing deluge, rain is a permissive pal. Rain restores serenity to our daily endeavors because it slows us down, or it should! When it rains it seems like no one from the dog to a boss is expecting much to happen that day, or get done.So it is the perfect time to indulgent activities that would otherwise make us feel guilty. Like snuggling with a blanket and a good book or watch movies in bed.
Lets rediscover the splendors of the rain through our senses and make an attitude adjustment. Watching a storm from a couch, window seat or bed can be thrilling especially when it gets dark!Cracking the window so we can hear the faint sound s of falling rain on the gutters or branches outside.Or maybe the the most sensory delights are coming in drenched from getting caught in the rain, stripping off your clothes and submerging into a hot shower or bath, then toweling off and dressing in a comfy robe and slippers. This memory of recent just sends shivers of bliss up my spine...Cherish the ordinary moments they are fleeting...
